What to expect

Be among the first to step inside Auckland’s City Rail Link stations before they open to passengers.

Across three weekends in August, free CRL First Look Events will give the public a rare opportunity to explore:
- Maungawhau Station on Saturday 8 August
- Karanga-a-Hape Station on Saturday 15 August
- Te Waihorotiu Station on Saturday 22 August

Visitors will be able to walk through the stations, learn about their designs and hear more about how the new rail network will operate when the CRL opens. It will also allow people to rediscover the station neighborhoods, which now feature upgraded streets and public spaces.

Each station will host ten one-hour sessions from 8am. Sessions will include low-sensory and early bird hours, and busking and community performances inside. In the station neighborhoods, food, pop up experiences, interactive installations and activities will be on offer throughout the day.
